Annual Membership Campaign

LOK is full steam ahead in its annual membership campaign! You should have received your graduate update profile and invoice for 2016-2017 membership in the mail. To update your profile online, click here to preview the contact information LOK has for you and make changes as needed. Don’t forget to sign up for a committee or two as well!

If you would like to update your photo, email it to Allyson (required format: jpeg file, 600 x 725 pixels at 300 dpi). Changes need to be made no later than July 8th  to be included in the 2016-2017 LOK Directory and Annual Report.

Leadership Oklahoma is successful because of you – your time, energy, ideas, resources and your sincere concern about the future of Oklahoma and how each of us can do our part to help shape the future. We hope that you will continue your membership in LOK as we move into our next 30 years.

As a reminder, annual membership dues are $150 (in state), $25 (out-of-state), or $2,500 for a lifetime membership. LOK is continuing the three-payment options to become a lifetime member. Option 1: one-time payment of $2,500. Option 2: four quarterly payments of $625 (beginning July 1, 2016). Option 3: eight quarterly payments of $312.50 (beginning July 1, 2016). By renewing your membership, you are investing in the mission of LOK; investing in Oklahoma; investing in the youth of our state; investing in educating our leadership; investing in networking/social opportunities to provide that human connection

Class I has proved that it’s never too late to be a lifetime member; three of them paid for lifetime memberships in the last few years!

After having spent the better part of a year touring the state to learn about the important issues and challenges facing Oklahoma, LOK graduates ask themselves “now what?” Most would say their experience offered a chance to learn of at least one issue that they felt drawn toward and compelled to do something to support and/or look for ways to improve. This is a great opportunity to network with other LOK graduates and legislators to move the state in a positive direction.

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals who have used their leadership abilities to improve the quality of life for Oklahoma's citizens and its future generations.

The Distinguished Graduate Award honors a Leadership Oklahoma graduate whose recent leadership activities have exemplified the highest standards of Leadership Oklahoma and whose activities achieved results or set an example of statewide significance.

The Business Leadership Award commends a business entity for its impact in promoting leadership principles and practice, implementing programs worthy of example, and fostering the growth of quality leadership.

The Statewide Community Award acknowledges an organization or company that, through specific projects or efforts, has reached across valued differences to develop among Oklahomans a sense of common purpose and a more profound sense of loyalty to their state. This award has been created to promote a heightened sense of appreciation for the possibilities available when Oklahomans work together as a single statewide community.

Stay Involved!!!

Engage. Connect. Change.

The 30th Anniversary planning committee is discussing having a statewide day of service and encourage LOK members from each city/region to come together and decide how they want to serve their community.

Look for more details to come soon from your Class and Regional Ambassadors!

The 30th Anniversary planning committee is working on putting together a non-partisan campaign that encourages Oklahomans to vote. How you vote doesn’t matter…..JUST VOTE!

More details on this campaign will roll out soon!

Each graduating class is represented by a single classmate. The most recent graduating class is represented by two Class Ambassadors for the immediate year following graduation. Year two, the class will drop to one Class Ambassador. There are also four Regional Ambassadors. Each region (SW, SE, NW, NE) of LOK will be represented by a single LOK member.

The purpose of the ambassadors is to promote and foster on-going relationships among the entire LOK membership, to provide connection with state leadership and to create awareness of Oklahoma issues through the planning and execution of issue oriented programs, social interaction, etc.

Click here for a listing of the LOK Ambassadors.

"Helping Oklahoma" is a contest developed to further Leadership Oklahoma’s mission to create, inspire and support leaders whose commitment to service energizes Oklahomans to shape our state’s future. It is designed to recognize Oklahoma volunteers who go above and beyond to make a difference in their communities and/or Oklahoma.

This is your opportunity to nominate a volunteer in your community who makes the kind of positive difference that deserves to be recognized. If selected as the winner, your nominee will receive a $2,500 prize to be donated to the charity of his/her choice.

The contest continues to evolve with the ultimate goal of honoring the everyday citizen for having a servant’s heart.
